The essence of Vicenza is Palladio. Even if you will find ancient Roman remains in the town, the presence of the illustrious architect is so huge to shadow anything else.
When Palladio escaped an oppressive employer in his native Padua, few would have guessed the humble stonecutter would, within a few decades, transform not only his adoptive city but also the history of European architecture. Returned from a period of study in Rome, the autodidact Palladio began producing his amazing buildings, edifices that combine sophistication and simplicity, solemn classicism and bright innovation. An ideal tour must include Olympic Theater (Teatro Olimpico), The Palladian Basilica and Piazza dei Signori, but few miles from the center you will find great villas such as Villa la Rotonda and Villa Valmarana ai Nani. Vicenza is today Unesco World Heritage Site, a precious town not only for the elegant arcades and balustrades but also for a modern vibrancy. Continue to Verona and check in at hotel. In the afternoon, discover the city with your private guide.  You’ll start your exploration with the Roman Arena, then Piazza delle Erbe, the Market Square, Piazza dei Signori. You’ll have plenty of time to admire the many monuments, inside courtyards, the architecture as well as the hidden spots and streets of Verona. The city was celebrated by Shakespeare, the setting for Romeo and Juliet and where the Capello family lived. We’ll visit the courtyard of the House of Juliet.
