The lesson will take place in a quaint cooking location in Manarola, overlooking the Cinque Terre coastline…An unforgettable experience is guaranteed!
This easy course is taught by two young professionals who have a strong passion for traditional food and its preparation. You will pick the fresh ingredients, such as basil, directly in the cooking location’s lush vegetable garden.
The local expert will instruct you in how to make a typical pesto sauce, the most famous traditional recipe of Liguria. He will explain the history and culture of the world-famous sauce and explain how to properly grind the ingredients with a mortar. Your turn will follow!
Make your own delicious pesto by following the chef’s step-by-step instructions or perhaps switching up his recipe. At the end of the course, you will enjoy your own pesto on a slice of bruschetta. Enjoy your creation with some white Cinque Terre wine and a cheese and meat platter, the so called Italian tagliere. One student, who performs exceptionally well, will receive a surprise present!
