08 December 2014 – Segway in Rome

Hi Michael,
I would like to express my appreciation for the assistance you provided in organising our Segway Tour in Rome at such short notice – it was fantastic. My wife and I had a great time and the Segway tour operators could not have been more hospitable. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to visit your fine country again one day..

Please be assured I would not hesitate in using your services again.

Thanks and regards, Peter & Kerrie

22 July 2014 11:00 AM – Europe

Thank you again for arranging the holiday, we had an absolute ball and all the accommodation was perfecto, particularly the Old Pasta factory which was brilliant. We loved Marco the pizza cook and all round good guy. Also I must mention Milan, the Best Western was fantastic, great location, beautiful hotel and fabulous facilities.

All of the trains went really well, we didn’t have any issues at all.

We even managed to find a way to watch the State of Origin while on the move.

Kind Regards , Kelly and Darren

07 July 2014 10:22 AM – Italy, Ferrari Tour and Small Group to the South

We had a fantastic trip with lots of good memories.
All the train travel worked out well – there was a train strike on the day we were to travel from Modena to Florence however because our train was an intercity train from Milan, it ran on time.
We appreciated the transfer at Malpensa to Milan city, it was quick and efficient. During our walking tour of Milan (we saw the Last Supper) some of the other tourists said taxis were charging 99 Euros for a one way fare from the airport.
The Hotel Galileo was okay, a little bit out of date but a good location. The breakfast was good and generally the wifi worked well.
The experience in Maranello was very good. The hotel was friendly and the people from the tourist office were really helpful. Max of course loved his Ferrari drive – I think you saw his Facebook video. The meals at the two restaurants were excellent and very comprehensive. We would definitely recommend this package.
The tour down South was very good. Roberto who picked us up from the Hotel was very charming, our tour had just six people – a couple from Brazil, two American ladies and ourselves. We stopped off at a fantastic winery called Sorrentino on the way to Pompei. The winery was interesting and the food and wine very good. Antonio the owner was funny and very friendly – we bought a couple of bottles of wine to bring back to Australia. Max really enjoyed Pompei (I had visited before). We eventually arrived in Sorrento and met with Marco, our contact. The tour was professionally organised and the hotel had a very good location – it was definitely worth the upgrade to have the view. Alessandro was our tour guide for Pompei and also for the trip to Capri (he spoke Portuguese and English) – he was very good. Marco was our tour guide for the drive along the Amalfi coast with Paolo our very experienced driver. We enjoyed Sorrento as it was not too crazy with tourists, unlike Positano and we enjoyed the local food and wine (limoncello). On the last night we went to a restaurant (Il Borgo) in the hills for a sunset dinner – this was okay however the woman driver from the restaurant was 20 mins late and drove like a crazy woman up around the hills (it wasn’t just because she was late, she drove like this on the way home). So we were a bit late for a full sunset viewing, the meal was okay however we all a bit unsettled after the drive up.
So as I said we had a great trip, ate and drank lots and we would definitely go back to Italy again to see some different areas. Everyone was friendly and I had a chance to use my Italian which seemed to help in most situations.
Thank you again for your help and organisation – we will definitely recommend your services to our friends.

Grazie mille Jess and Max

Buon giorno Michele ,

Just a note to thank you for my truly wonderful and hassle free holiday. It all worked perfectly: transfers worked smoothly, guides were excellent, hotels were fantastic and in THE best locations; my favourite was the Ponte Sisto from where I could stroll across to the Trastevere for a coffee…oh to be back in Rome… The water taxi transfer from hotel to ship in Venice was worth every euro (great fun!)………….

I could go on forever but I won’t. Will be recommending you to everyone. More than happy for you to use my email if you have a client who is uncertain about this package.

Ciao and grazie mille Daphne

8 Nov 2012 9:57 AM – Amalfi Coast and Sicily

Grazie mille Michael

It was a great trip that we both thoroughly enjoyed. The tour in Sicily was excellent, and the last day in Sorrento as a spare was put to good use – a return trip by ferry to Naples to visit the Museum (to see things recovered from Pompeii and Herculaneum, after the Pompeii visit a few days before). Villa d’Este and Pompeii were quite amazing. The hotel choices in Rome and Sorrento were also excellent – both were centrally located, helpful staff and well managed. The Sorrento location was also wise – we could access everything from this lovely little town. The Italian cuisine was perhaps the only matter – we did arrive there with high expectations. Perhaps arriving as we did at the end of the tourist season, any “main road” restaurants were delivering bulk fare – perhaps staff were getting tired, or responding to demands for what tourists were used to back home. We sought out and found some good local Italian cuisine, and on the Sicily tour, specific restaurants and hotels generally did provide meals equal to our high expectations. A lesson for us next time we visit – ask the locals where to eat!

12 Oct 2012 12:13 PM – France, Italy, Dubai, Abu Dabhi

Good Morning Michele

Just a quick note to thank you for all your assistance in combining 3 separate trips. The flights, car lease, trains, accommodation and transfers all went accordingly to plan and your attention to detail added to making our trip a success.

Italy and France were wonderful and one of the highlights being Florence staying at an amazing Hotel where we will never forget the sound of the bells from the Duomo. Convincing my daughter and I to take a Tuscan Tour was equally memorable. The car allowed the four of us to be flexible and we enjoyed doing our own thing through rural France and Italy clocking over 3000 Kms. We so enjoyed the organic food, great wines and my husband tasted and rated every gelato he could find! We were impressed by Dubai and Abu Dabhi and hope to spend more time on our next trip.

Your support once again was amazing and we look forward to our next adventure !!!

4 Jun 2012 12:57 PM – Venice

Dear Michele,

Thank you so much for the wonderful Venice experience you arranged for me. The Palazzo Priuli was a delight: historic Venetian grandeur with every modern convenience. It’s a lovely quite hotel and appeared to have only 10 rooms. My room was on the ground floor with a window overlooking the canal. The gondalas went right past. The staff were marvellous and the buffet Breakfast was in the grand room on the piano nobile. As you had explained it was about seven minutes from San Marco Square; it could not have been better placed. And near some delightful small eating places; so much better than having to patronise the ones facing ther lagoon. All the tours were good. The Absolute Venice tour was done in pouring rain, but it did not seem to matter and that was the only wet day. The three villas visited on the trip to Padua were great and their gardens a delight. The Villa Pisano was a standout…

I hope you had a great time in Italy and avoided any earthquakes!

With very best wishes and many thanks, Diana

24 May 2012 10:34 AM – Italy, London, France, Switzerland

Hi Michael,

Just a quick email to let you know that I won my age category in the 24hr race on the weekend. Very happy and exhausted. The trip has been excellent and we arrived in Siena today, the cottage is just beautiful and we are excited to see the Tuscan sights. You have done a fantastic job for us Michael…we are so grateful for all the help you gave us to organise the trip.

18 Oct 2011 11:30 AM – Italy, Switzerland, Singapore

Dear Michele.

Your support, enabled us to have a most enjoyable exploration in our chosen parts of Italy. We were not surprised! Many thanks to you all. We arrived by taxi at the Hotel Tre Re in Como early in the evening. It is a family run hotel and was friendly to us strangers, and has ambitions to grow. Located in the old city its situation put us close to quayside, the duomo, museums, etc and many options for eating out. Walking round town was satisfying and we also took two ferry tours to lakeside gardens and enjoyed both. En route to Padova we had a mishap climbing up with our suitcases onto the train to Venezia at Milano Centrale. The Hotel Italia in Corso del Popolo, Padova, was 5 minutes walk dragging our suitcases in the rain across the trams and traffic from the railway station. The environment was noisy and a bit seedy (at least on the adjacent Corso del Popolo). Their welcome was warm but staff were few. Their rooms were comfortable and breakfast provisions were generous. Finding dining places was largely left to us. About 20 minutes’ walk away, they offered very good meals. Whereas accommodation in Ravenna, in Residenza D’Epoca Palazzo Galletia, was indeed ‘palatial’, and we would highly recommend it and the friendliness of its staff. Those days in Ravenna were one of the highlights of our tour, as we walked and photographed the townscape, and saw all those incredible mosaics. The rail trip from Ravenna (via Rimini) to Lecce was a fascinating trip through coastal resorts and wine and olive farming sites. And those ‘Truli'(?) dotted through the fields. Franzi was there waiting on the doorstep when we arrived. The Casa dei Mercati fronts onto the Pazza S.Oronzo, a centre of day and night civic activity. But the flat we were offered was very quiet, clean, well-furnished and spacious. Franzi and his staff delivered breakfast to our door every morning. Their friendliness added to the attractive qualities of that accommodation. It proved a fascinating city for walking, dining out and experiencing southern Italian urban lifestyle. We had a delightful train journey to and from Otranto on the coast, and enjoyed exploring that ancient harbourside urban landscape of church mosaics, and its castle (rebuilt by Carlo Cinque). We would highly recommend that excursion. Getting a taxi to get two walk-weary tourists back up to the railway station proved difficult at first, but friendly locals summoned a little open cab that proved excellent. The Hotel Best Western Montana in Konradstrasse in Zurich was very pleasant and conveniently located in the older part of that city, which we were able to explore on foot all of the next day. Having a restaurant at that hotel proved a bonus. So greetings and many thanks again from us both!
